Salary: $65,000–$85,000 per year
Job Type: Full-Time
Schedule: Monday–Friday | Flexible start time between 7:00 AM and 8:00 AM

Join Our Team

We are a growing, family-owned restoration company seeking an experienced Property Restoration Estimator to join our team. This role is ideal for someone with strong Xactimate (or similar estimating software) experience who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and takes pride in producing accurate estimates that help customers recover from property damage.

As our Estimator, you will manage claims from estimate creation through dispute resolution, working closely with project managers, insurance adjusters, and our operations team to ensure projects move efficiently from start to finish.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare accurate, detailed estimates using Xactimate for:
    • Water damage mitigation
    • Fire and smoke restoration
    • Mold remediation
    • Contents cleaning
    • Biohazard cleanup
    • Reconstruction services
  • Review job documentation, photos, and scope to ensure estimates accurately reflect completed work.
  • Submit and revise estimates through Xactimate, XactAnalysis, and other claims management platforms.
  • Communicate professionally with insurance adjusters, project managers, and internal staff regarding estimate approvals and revisions.
  • Support insurance negotiations and estimate disputes as needed.
  • Maintain organized documentation to ensure timely invoicing and claim resolution.
  • Manage multiple active projects while meeting turnaround deadlines.
  • Assist during catastrophe events and periods of increased claim volume.
  • Mentor new team members when needed.

Qualifications

Required

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Minimum 2 years of restoration or construction estimating experience
  • Strong understanding of water mitigation, fire restoration, mold remediation, and reconstruction
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to prioritize multiple projects and meet deadlines
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Teams, and cloud-based software

Preferred

  • Experience negotiating with insurance carriers
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent industry experience
  • Customer service or insurance claims experience
